Hi,
has anyone information about PMICS or Paul Mitchell? His homepage (http://www.darkstar.co.uk/pmics) is dead for years.
Is the source code of PMICS available?
PMICS is a client software to play chess on a chess server.

It was a FICS (http://www.google.ru/search?q=fics+java) client. There are other clients written in Java or Qt...

Hi Sergey,
thanks for your reply. Yes I know that PMICS is a FICS client, I am using PMICS from time to time.
I am not looking for an alternative client.
I am searching for the author and the sources of PMICS.

The source for 1.0 beta is available here: http://www.tcom.co.uk/secondnature/pmics/

AFAIK, it was C++ source code i.e. unreadable "object"-oriented Trash Heap (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fraggle_Rock_characters#Marjory_the_Trash_Heap).
Don't regret it.

Hi Guzzi.
The site is down, and there is not saved copy on archive.org. Is there any chance to get the source code of that version?
Regards

Take this one:
http://www.os2site.com/sw/games/board/pmics.zip (http://www.os2site.com/sw/games/board/pmics.zip)
It's version 1.0 beta. with sources.
I have here also the same version a few days older.
Otherwise you can use Jin an open source Java client utilising Swing.
