eCoSoft is working on OS/2 market since 2000 (when we have contacted

Hi Eugene,

Your post comes across as political, and illegal. I have reworded it.

During 2022 and 2023 to purchase our shareware applications you should make extra efforts
(*removed content*).
This rules will not change even if EU/US banks repeal restrictions from russian banks till 2024.

EU Sanctions against Russia due to their war of aggression against ukraine do not allow to send any kind of Computertechnology to Russia nor trade with it.

I don't want make a political thread, but I do not understand the restrictions on us. Eugene and friends did not cause this situation. Supporting them will not affect the situation in Ukraine. Can someone who understands the sanctions post a simple statement of what we can and cannot do?

When it comes to the EU you can have a look here:

https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/sanctions/restrictive-measures-against-russia-over-ukraine/sanctions-against-russia-explained/ (https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/sanctions/restrictive-measures-against-russia-over-ukraine/sanctions-against-russia-explained/)

One of the points:
- cutting-edge technology (e.g. quantum computers and advanced semiconductors, high-end electronics and software)

Official site of the EU Commission. Please keep in mind that the restrictions are subject to constant, even short-term, changes or tightening.

Well, the truth is that everything can simply be bought in China, so all this is just a headache for all normal people.

Once every 80-100 years, the "great powers" start to divide the world ... It`s not funny that none of these "elites" takes the damage, everything falls on ordinary citizens ... we can just see it again in real time.

What ever transactions anyone wishes to make with Eugene and friends is not the issue, that is between two entities and it is up to the entities to keep in mind any restrictions etc, and what they do about them. I do not have any issues with Russian or Ukrainian citizens as a whole, it is unfortunate that people are caught up in the actions of governments.

os2world.com is a public forum for those in the OS/2, eCS, Arca, communities, it accepts people from all countries that wish to take part, including in off topic areas but politics, religion, government issues, and anything that could be deemed as illegal (no matter personal opinion), should be left outside these forums.

My point is to leave politics out of it - as much as I too would like to comment on some aspects, I leave it outside os2world.com.

Hi

Eugene, can you please rephase your post?
I also don't understand what "(Purchase a computer device online, forward it to Russia)" means. It sound like eCoSoft is accepting payment in hardware. Maybe each indiviual payment need to be negotiated with Eugene from now on.

I guess that the issue is how can non-Russians pay for eCoSoft products because of the sanctions applied to Russia.

Just like Ian says, let's keep the politics away, I also don't have any issue with Russian or Ukranian citizen.
