I updated AVxCAT to FP1 (small update process change) and updated pdf ogg link.

Note:
Since AVxCAT V2.1.1, update information are available into following file too.

Hello Remy.

I' now on version 2.2.0.0 with your indications of downloading the file and unzipping it on the 2.1.1.0 installation.
It seems to be working.


Checking the AVXCAT 2.2.pdf file, it says it works with - http://silk.apana.org.au/vorbis/oggvorbis-1.2.0-os2.zip
Will it work fine with https://hobbesarchive.com/Home/Download?path=/Hobbes/pub/os2/apps/mmedia/sound/convert/OggVorbis_1-3-3.wpi
Do you think it will be fine to update to it?

PDF typo (should be 1.3.3 now - older version may work too  ) Thanks having seen this
I'm going to update it to prevent regression.

Could you give a test on prereqs exe ? check found missings tools/dlls and save results into files (from the menu) and look at them for provided links?
note: If no ogg installed, it will provide v1.3.3 link

IBM does not offer support for it.

Are you sure IBM no more providing support as special exclusive contract for customer customer requesting it ?
I remember IBM having provided OS/2 support in year 2015 for a client having a special support contract (not catalog referenced)

Hi Martin,
I just did a test starting from 2.1.1.0 and was ok for me.
2.1.1.0 does 2 verifications (exe file date and version number)
- Run one time parameters and save. Then restart AVxCAT
- Was the network up and operationnal when trying to get the update ?
- What about AVxCAT.exe creation date after install ?

To get the update manually:

Hi all,
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

I decided to make AVxCAT V2.2 available as downloadable update via AVxCAT V2.1
Read the included text file and save existing AVxCAT as backup before replacing it with new V2.2
Included is an updated AVxCAT pdf file, a presentation of some improvements...   

The update has an included prereqs executable file to check the system for missing tools and providing link list + download packages
(the auto install not yet enabled under the alpha4 buil of prereqs.exe)

AVxCAT V2.2 WPI package will be available later (n several more weeks and may be after prereqs more feedback/testing).

The program write to author been updated, I hope getting more feedbacks and/or suggestion from those using AVxCAT.

Could some of you give a try adding Dooble parm (QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS):  --audio-process-high-priority
Does it have an effect ?   positive or negative ?   (youtube, other audio src type)

Note: Since having added this parm, I'm able to listen music (web radio) under a tab, open a second tab, do scroll down or up or add a fird tab and view a  youtube video having then both sound (radio + youtube) mixed together and not get freezes or hung for longer time ... (get any since several hours)

I attached my updated qt6env command file to start Dooble (using my priority settings and flags including  --audio-process-high-priority)
Update it to your environment, your best priority settings (change idle-time or may be time-priority) etc...

Is it a font issue or a text color issue ?
White on white is not visible !

Did you empty Dooble cache to not reload cache pages but site pages ?

Or you can try disabling virtual CPU's on ACPI using the cpumask (not easy to do and my system works with disabled CPU)

Profile corruption? If you remember the page that triggered the exception, you could go to \home\.dooble\WebEnginePersistentStorage\IndexDB and move the entry out of the way and see if that helps

I deleted all files and no silent close but about freeze, it is as bad as before I change turbo boost bios option.
When on youtube, trying to open a new tab or moving the page cursor, sound goes into a loop and system freezes...
Reboot required.

The first creating problem is the audio but it seems also been impacted by the mouse movement etc !  driver issue or interrupt priority handling?

Ok, I think having found, I left automatic CPU speed increase (Turbo boost) enable under BIOS.
Now disabled.

Seems more stable. One silent close but this time, i've got more informations into stdout logs:
[94:39:1208/234436.722000:ERROR:indexed_db_factory_impl.cc(595)] Failed to GetDBSizeFromEnv: IO error: /000039.log: File not found

I just had a system froze using Dooble qt6.
I don't know if this could help but I had a strange CPU% utilisation !
