Title: VisPro C++
Post by: Martin Iturbide on January 29, 2013, 05:11:46 pm
Hi

I'm trying to get VisPro C++ V3.01 so I can upload it to hobbes. I got Dave Hock permission last year to turn their software freeware (AS IS).

I tried to get it from Mensys. http://shop.mensys.nl/catalogue/mns_VPC.html since they have it for free.
But I can not pass the payment option. It seems that you can not pay US$0 with Paypal :)

Can anybody help me to get it, and/or upload it to hobbes?

Thanks
Martin

I ordered it per invoice. As soon as I receive the download instructions I will give you a link to get it from me.

Nope. The order is still 'open' when I log in to my mensys account.

A few days ago Mensys processed my order and I was able to download it.

The software is on hobbes now.

Thanks.

Hello

Thank you for this one... I will give it a try even is today on eCS I am more than happy with Open Watcon and C :)

But thank you very much for this initiative!

I just tried VisPro C++ and I have a problem: when lauching the application, I have the following error messages:
VSBGraph.DLL
VSFmef.DLL
VSClock.DLL
VSCalndr.DLL
VSSprSht.DLL

Any hint on how to solve this?

Regards

You are right. I'm having the same issue.

The author released it as "AS IS" freeware and do not longer code it, so we are on our own.

But if you are happy with OpenWatcom, I recommend you to stay that way. It is better to use an open source IDE. I just wanted this software to be freeware to help anybody that has code made with this tool .

Hi All

I don't have - or plan to have - VisProC++ so pardon the possibly silly questions  :-)

Is there a setup/install application?

If "Yes" does it ask to modify config.sys?

If "Yes" - Did you let it?

If "Yes" have you rebooted?

I'm guessing that the software install should add some items to Path, LibPath and maybe Help. As it looks like library files are not found are they missing or does LibPath not show the path to those libraries?

Regards
