I downloaded Open Office 4.1 after purchasing a development unit. I had no problems installing. On opening any application, the application loads about half way and then I get an error message which I have uploaded. Any idea why the program(s) won't finish loading?

Hi Ian
It list these as needed, but where are they found to download? The only one it tells where it can be found is uniclip at hobbes.

Hi David,
I already had most of the required files installed from other software but in the readme file for OpenOffice it has:-
To install the above requirements you have two choices. Either RPM/YUM
installation or WPI installation. If you already have a working RPM/YUM
installation (which includes ANPM), then we highly recommend to use RPM/YUM
only. As mixing both might lead to several issues.
RPM/YUM installation:
These files can be installed with the following command:
yum install libc libgcc1 libgcc-fwd openssl curl libjpeg libxslt libicu zlib libxml2 mmap pthread urpo libstdc++6 libstdc++
(all one line)
If some of them are already installed YUM will tell you. Please also
stay current and do regularly a YUM update.
WPI installation:
Download the AOO-4130-GA-rpm.wpi before you start the installation.
This WPI is not installable. It's just a helper WPI which can be installed from
the main Apache OpenOffice WPI. This WPI *must* reside in the same directory
where the Apache OpenOffice WPI resides before installation.
If you like to do things manually and just grab the DLL's, assuming they are not all in AOO-4130-GA-rpm.wpi you can try dl'ing
files from http://rpm.netlabs.org/release/00/zip/ (http://rpm.netlabs.org/release/00/zip/) if your not a yum/rpm user.

Hi David,
If you are going to password protect your files, you also need to install nspr-legacy or nspr. I had issues with making protected files or open when they were missing.
Think I saw in other thread you have ArcaOS so install via ANPM.

IIRC, another gotta is that there are 2 icu packages, icu and libicu. One is needed by Mozilla and the other is needed by OpenOffice.

I downloaded what I could find on the site. All the Dll's I downloaded are already included with ArcaOS. The dll's installed with ArcaOS are newer than the dll's I downloaded.
I did not have uniclip and installed it.
I installed the gcc4core_1_3_1.wpi
I installed the Libc-0_6_6-csd6.wpi
Where can the AOO-4130-GA-rpm.wpi be downloaded from?
I contacted bitwiseworks and it he stated "Most probably you miss the xslt rpm."
Again, where can this file be found?

libxslt, a lot, but not all, of these libraries are labeled with the lib prefix.

Both AOO and Mozilla use the same icu since AOO 4.1.3. Just meant as info.

Uniclip is the only wpi you need in ArcaOS. All the rest should be installed via rpm or ANPM.
xslt is libxstl as Dave already stated. IIRC in ANPM you can search for parts of a rpm as well. So a search for xslt should bring libxslt. At least with yum you can do that. like "yum list *xslt*"
I'm sorry I didn't say that in my first mail. But I assumed you know that.
