Arca Noae might take that on as a commercial job.   If it's worth $$ to you.   Just FYI.

Setup & Installation / Re: Panorama v Snap Video
« on: May 10, 2018, 09:03:10 pm »
Yes, SNAP will do what you want if you have the right video chip.  Be sure to check the readme file.   I've tried both Panorama and SNAP and prefer SNAP, but it doesn't work on every chip set.   Give it a try.

Internet / Re: Firefox - 45.9.0 for OS/2 GA1.1...anyone...anyone???
« on: April 20, 2018, 04:52:37 pm »
I"m using the 10/04/17 Version and it's sometimes better than the prior version, but still not perfect and I have a bank site that won't run on it.  The 7 zip format is a pain as simple minded me can't figure out how to unzip 7Z files.  What a pain.  And Arca doesn't have it as an RPM yet over a year after initial release.  Oh well, we soldier on to keep functioning.

Applications / Re: CUPS - Support Printer List

My Brother printer is a HL-3070CW, but newer ones have similar wired & wireless network connections and no parallel port.
Hope this helps.

You probably won't find a parallel port printer anymore, but network connected ones are ubiquitous.  I have a Brother color laser that works fine with the Brother Scrip3 (form of postscript) and standard HP drivers in Arca 5 work with most HP, and many other brands of laser printer.

Storage / Re: oddities with OS2AHCI version 2.04
« on: December 17, 2017, 04:39:36 pm »
AHCI 2.04 works fine here on AMD A6 7470K CPU on MSI A88XM-E45 V2 motherboard with 4 gig of RAM.  Flash disk 256 Gig formated JFS and all is well except some odd crashes with Firefox 45.

Applications / Re: Recommendations: File Managers?

FC/2 by Brian Havard has been my go app for over 15 years and is worth the cost to register.  FM/2 is also available as a manager, but was more complicated than I needed.

Applications / Firefox 45.5 Install issues
« on: May 20, 2017, 04:46:18 pm »
Following directions for install I cannot find "hunspell" with the ANPM and the program won't start without it.  Also can't find libjpeg-turbo.   Any suggestions or is this a mistyping by the bitwise folks?

You might try SysInfo from Alexey Smirnov.  I just have the beta 0.8, but it gives me a lot of that info.

Setup & Installation / Re: Installing OS/2 on 320GB disk
« on: April 29, 2016, 06:13:26 pm »
Just partition it as JFS bootable if you have eCS 2 or above.  If you only have OS/2 Warp 4 you'll have to use HPFS and 64 gig is the limit there.  HTH

Hardware / Re: Anyone successfully using Brother HL-5470dw?
« on: February 07, 2016, 05:22:03 pm »
For my Brother HL-3070CW I juts installed the OS/2 PSCRIPT.Apple LaserWriter 16/600 PS driver and it worked without a hitch. I used the SLPR driver for a network port and it's fine.  Just for your consideration.
