I don't have a Mac available to test, but the description seems to match the problem I see on ArcaOS.

Hi Neil,

Were you able to test AOO 4.1.11?
The problem should be fixed...

This bug is on several platforms and apparently will be fixed in the next release:

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128427

No, this bug is OS/2-only (speaking of released versions).
We are preparing AOO 4.1.11 at the moment...

Edit:
To be clear, we (the Apache OpenOffice project) are working on a 4.1.11 release. No fixed date for a release. We have no influence on the OS/2 port.

Hi Neil,

Yes, it sounds similar.

Fortunately, this issue could be fixed with a rebuild and didn't need code changes.
Maybe Yuri can try different compiler switches? AOO 4.1.9 was released yesterday.

Hi Neil,

Thank you for the report!

Could you please have a look at:
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128426

Although this is for macOS it sounds similar.
Fortunately it could be solved with a rebuild on macOS, so maybe Yuri can do some tests with the (soon to be released on Windows, macOS, Linux) version 4.1.9 of Apache OpenOffice.

I don't know if this is still a problem for you, but I could solve it with installing hunspell via ANPM.

Yes, that's it. Does that work for you?

Due to spam we had to disable the account creation.
But I will have a look at the linked mail address, in the meantime you can always write to dev@openoffice.apache.org to request a Bugzilla account.

Regards,
   Matthias

P.S.: Creating an issue for AOO is one thing, but it needs someone to solve it.
Esp. for OS/2 we only have Yuri doing the port and I am the only one in the project who can test AOO on ArcaOS. Other platforms are in a better situation, but still we are all volunteers spending our private time on the project.
