Hi Steven,

Thankz for the files.
I first contacted Silvan and he send me the link again.
Now i have installed 4.1.11 and it works,
Silvan told me the latest Icuuc.dll is  not working with the 4.1.8

Tellie,

Based on what you posted, this does not look like a DLL issue.  It looks more like a NULL pointer issue.

You might consider posting the full exceptq report.  It may contain relevant information that you might not recognize as relevant.  If you do, please make sure to use the most recent exceptq available at www.warpcave.com/betas.  It includes some enhancement that can make working with gcc apps a bit easier.

Also, make sure you have debuginfo installed for the DLLs mentioned in the Call Stack or the Symbols on the Stack sections.

FWIW, NULL pointer errors typically occur because there's an unexpectly missing resource or because the app runs out of memory and neglected to check for this.  Given that your exception occurs at startup, I would suspect the former cause is more likely.

I agree with others that you should consider trying 4.1.11.  Otherwise, there's no way to know if it will resolve your issue.

HI Steven,

First thankz for looking in to this.

I upload the whole except file.

I wrote Herwig to get the inlog for the 4.1.11 but so far no response .

You mean the debug dll for the Icuuc or ?

TeLLie,

The log file message you posted makes it look like somehow you are executing something from OO v 4 instead of from version 3.  Either that or you perhaps are reading the wrong log file?

Hello Doug,

Sorry i meant to say i use 4.18  instead of 3.18
Thought 4.18 where latest version, correct me if im wrong...

Tellie,

Have you tried to use PMDLL to see if you have all DLLs needed for it? Also, do you have the absolute latest libcn0.dll and libcx0.dll files (mine are dated 8/3/2024) and no old ones floating around to interfere?

OO 3.18 is working well here...

Regards,
Hi David,

Yah have all latest Libc* stuff installed.
Have check with Pmdll and no errors to see.
Do you also use the latest Icuuc ?

Hi all

I installed OO v3.18 but as soon i try to open a prog like cmath it closes the program directly.

I see this is the log file

 Process:  D:\PROGRAMS\APACHEOPENOFFICE.4\PROGRAM\SOFFICE.BIN (12/01/2020 00:13:05 263,440)
 PID:      48 (72)
 TID:      01 (1)
 Priority: 200

 Filename: C:\USR\LIB\ICUUC.DLL (12/10/2020 12:52:02 1,111,946)
 Address:  005B:1C519FCB (0001:000E9FCB)
Cause:    Attempted to read from 00000017
           (not a valid address)

I use the ICUUC,dll from the latest rpm package

Any idea ???
