Applications / Re: Mouse chording in OS/2

Still doesn't work. I know about the CUA keyboard shortcuts. I use them daily.

I have tried 3x USB mice's. But I fear that the problem is that I am running under Virtual Box 7. I have a serial 3 buttons mouse but no way to connect it. I will try to get my old laptop back up and try there.

Thank you for replies (Remy, Dave and David.) Appreciated.

Edit: Paste works (Warp4.5.2 under VB7) But I have to select Copy from Edit menu, or CTRL+Insert, first. Then click and hold and release both.

I've been using OS/2 for two decades and this is the first time I am aware of this feature. 🤔

I'm trying to find info on how does mouse chording (copy/paste) work in OS/2.

Wikipedia mentions that it is possible to do using OS/2. But gives no specifics.

Example, taken from another OS: To «snarf» (copy), select a word and while holding left mouse button, click right mouse button.
To paste, unselect and place cursor, click then hold left mouse button, click right mouse button.
To Cut, select a word and while holding left mouse button, click middle mouse button.

Cheers!  :)

Thank for the prompt reply, Martin.

Shame they are currently unavailable. Hopefully not lost forever. They look solid.  ;)

Merci

Have these apps ever been seen outside IBM? Search engines return nothing. And doesn't seem to be found on Hobbes.

I thought someone would have dug up a copy by now.  Oh well.

Did someone ever get their hands on this old app?  I've read people talking about it for decades now.  But never seen any proof of its existance.  Enquiring minds want to know. ;)

I'm a little late to the conversation. ;D  But here's my 2 canadian cents:
  • OS/2 (Blue Lion) official support under glorious Hyper-V.
  • And regular communication from Arca Noae.  Not every week but something like in between 2~3 months.
