Title: BOINC and the OS/2 Warp group
Post by: Martin Iturbide on June 29, 2019, 12:34:15 am
Hi

Today I was checking my old account at the World Community Grid (https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/), it is a community when people share their processor (grid computing) to analyze data and help to find more information about disease to try to find cures.

I noticed it uses BOINC and that there is still the OS/2 Warp group (http://boinc.vcn.com/) there. Is someone using BOINC on OS/2? does our ported version 6.6.29 (http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?key=BOINC&pushbutton=Search) still work for the grid (latest version is 7.14)?

Regards

I used to use it for Seti at Home but that stopped working 9 years ago and I haven't tried since.  It might work depending on what you want to run.

Hi

It seems that BOINC 6.6.29 is not working anymore. I tried to run it but it requires some older libraries. I get a message that curl is not installed, while the runtime dll is installed on ArcaOS.
