and am I right in saying we really lack a current TeX?Yes, unfortunately. The most recent one is the teTeX port from 2006. IIRC, Alex said on WarpStock that he has packaged it. Was it .rpm? But apparently, that's still not ready.
Ignore the noise Silvan. Talk is cheap! On OS2 world, there exists the Ignore List.
1) Do you know some other tools that allows me to see/extract the bldlevel information from files beside bldlevel.exe?No. Most likely, because the usage is simple.
2) Is there any way to include the bldlevel information to an executable that does not have it? Can it only be done while compiling the binary? or can it be applied to binary where you don't have the source code.Adding BLDLEVEL information to executables
the only "nice to have" would be the ability to EDIT the object name (file, folder, etc.) while in the DETAILS and/or XVIEW view. And by edit I mean double-click on the object, just as one can do so while in the ICON or TREE view.I don't understand that. Object titles are changable in any folder view and at any place. Object titles in folders are editable by Alt+MB1click, not by MB1doubleclick.
The speed has been doubled from 1 sample per second to 2 samples per second.I've thought that it was 1 sample per two seconds before. I prefer the old rate, but I can live with the new one.
Personally, I consider the line graph to be totally worthless if you have more than 2 cores. It just devolves into a meaningless jumble of lines that tell you nothing about actual usage - particularly when running FF or SM.Here I have only one core and the graph matches the screen shot and the reports above. The graph's amplitude is by a factor of 2 too large.
The new bar graph provides a far more coherent view of overall usage.Apparently you mean the new average load graph. Yes, I like it, but haven't decided which one to use in the future.
Using the switch -conf configfilelocation and creating a configuration file makes it possible to change the settings. You can save adding this parameter by creating a file named dosbox.conf in the directory of the .exe.
Been trying to look at some articles on EDM [...]The link: http://www.edm2.com/index.php/Main_Page
All good points Martin but my main frustration is the total lack of communication about what is going on.Yes, I thought the same. My situation has changed, because I'm now a member of the Test Group. There's rather too much info on the list and downloads. It's the opposite of the situation before. (I'm one of the translators for the German language and was unintenionally not added before.) I can say that the wish to participate increases enormously with access to the development details.
My subscription expired, so I haven't seen the .rpm. I assumed that it must be in one of the repositories that require authentication: arcanoae-arcaos or arcanoae-sub. I see 9 items in arcanoae-sub and nothing in arcanoae-arcaos. Therefore I thought that with subscription, one sees more items. With AN Software Subscription the FF45 .rpm is available.I have subscriptions for AOS and the OS/2-eCS drivers. Based on your help I could add both repositories to ANPM. However the FF45.rpm will not be displayed. The repository for AOS is empty and the one for the driver subscription shows some packages which are not displayed in the release repository. So I assume I did it the right way to add both repositories.
I'd like to ask you where did you see the FF45.rpm?
