Networking / Re: RDP Client that has send-key functionality
« on: March 20, 2024, 11:36:45 am »
I installed version 3.4.0 and with this version I can no longer connect to Windows or ArcaOS VM but I can connect to Ubuntu Linix on my Raspberry PI.

I have attached the connection logs for the windows 10 VirtualBox.

With version 3.4.0 I have normal access to my W10 computer, nothing has changed.

DeepL is giving better translations than Google translate in my opinion.

I believe no matter how you install VLC, it will not work until tha idn11.dll is installed. Once installed, VLC will work from any location when updated.

I can confirm Davids finding. I have the idn11.dll aready in my Unixroot partion. I can't remember when I placed it there.
If I remove the idn11.dll then VLC cannot start.

I do it usually as David has suggested with #1).
I extracted the zip-file to a folder of my choice. In this case to "F:\Programs\VLC2\".
I have added "F:\Programs\VLC2\USR\LOCAL\LIB;" to my LIBPATH statement in the config.sys long time ago.
And it starts and plays videos as expected.

Hi, would someone try this site with dooble:
https://www.sueddeutsche.de/
Hallo Holger, die Webseite der Süddeutschen Zeitung öffnet ganz normal in Daves QT5 Dooble version.

For the English speakers: This web site from "Süddeutsche Zeitung" opens quite normal by using Daves QT5 build of Dooble.

The FTP-site is asking for credentials (login and pw) when I try to download.
Any idea what to use?

Using wget, something like:
Code: [Select]
wget ftp://dry@ftp.os2voice.org/Dooble_10_07_23.zip --ftp-password=email@address.com
Will download it....

Thanks Paul, download has been working as promised.

Another test build of Dooble. I compiled this from the official Dooble Github mostly for David McKenna as his issue, https://github.com/textbrowser/dooble/issues/182, "Open links in current instance", has been resolved. No icon etc as it is a test build. Once an official release is made, I'll build an RPM.
Log into ftp.os2voice.org as user dry, password, your email address. There's also previous RPM's there in the RPM directory.
Edit: File is Dooble_10_07_23.zip

Hi Dave,

do you have a download link?

Maybe this post from Arca Noae will help you: "Resolving issues with GMail and OAuth 2.0 requirements"

https://www.arcanoae.com/resolving-issues-with-gmail-and-oauth-2-0-requirements/

At least it is working for me.

Interesting, it installed fine here using ANPM.

I tried an install on my second machine using ANPM today. This time it runs almost fine. It installed the executable, it created the folder with the objects.
However it stated also the following error message at the end:

ERROR: wps-object: Could not create an object with ID <BWW_dooble_README_OS2> and specification "WPShadow|README_OS2|<BWW_dooble_FOLDER>|SHADOWID=D:\usr\share\doc\dooble-2023.04.20\README-os2.txt".

Here's my try at an rpm (actually includes the dbg one too). https://c.gmx.com/@744346040190108571/Uatmhxp_S_-YR9AMwll-nQ

Installation went well from command line "yum install dooble-2023.04.20-1.oc00.pentium4.rpm".
Using the ANPM installation from file failed with no indication what was wrong.
I'm typing now from the new rpm installation.

Is anyone interested in the rpm's? Not sure yet how they would co-exist with any future Bitwise releases, perhaps just releasing the zip would be fine.

At the moment the zip files are fine for me. However I would like to give the RPMs a try (out of curiosity).
By the way, your latest dooble build (QT5 version) is starting fast and the start page (in my case DuckDuckGo) is loading without problems.

What about simple browser from /qt6/examples/webenginewidgets/simple browser ?

Any traps or just a silent exit?

PS thanks for trying!

Simplebrowser starts but could not load a page. I see the following failure message:
