Need to install OPUS in YUM also.

There is an old program called Workplace Security v2.1.5 for OS/2
Password protect OS/2 desktop objects.
(C) Copyright Maple Valley Software 1995, 1996

This is a fantastic program for password protecting folders and program objects.  It does the job.  One of the programs I am glad I purchased many years ago.

Create a directory for it in the Programs folder on your hard drive

Need to download, extract and copy the files to your Programs\eAccounts folder

Download, extract, and copy EACC12 exe to the eAccount directory replacing the eacc11 exe.

Download, extract, and copy blowfish to the eAccount directory.

Run install.cmd

I will check I thought you could also pay with creditcards with logging in.

You live in France right, when the server is backup, check You can also send a donation to our Dutch Bank acocunt.
Please specify with the payment its for QT sponsorship. And while we would like to accept checks, please do not send checks to VOICE.
Its extremely expensive to process a check for small amounts. If you send a check 20 Euro it would most likely cost just about the same amount to process it.

It doesn't work and I only will pay using a CB.
Please correct you paypal setting to allow not registered paypal user to pay using other CB.
Else, I'm not able to make a donation.

You can donate at the Arca Noae site in its store.

Look under Store > Support and Sponsoring > bww bitwise works GmbH sponsor units.  There are 5 options to pay.  This is where I do my sponsoring.

I had made some new FM/2 icons a while  back.

The pic has some of my new orange icons.  However, the zip contains the standard ArcaOS blue icons.

Hi Andreas.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have a link for Winback? Was it freeware or Shareware?

I like this program which does something similar.

This program modual was designed to add some missing funcitonality to OS/2. The specific features are: 1) right-click on the Titlebar pushes a window back in the z-order. *2) ctrl-right-click shrinks a window to its titlebar size.

Yes, Kill folder would be a good one to include.
KillFolder, closes all open folders on the desktop. Fixed installer, fixed documentation and normalized return code. The installer now matches the documentation, excluding optionally replacing AAAAA.EXE by KILLFOLD.EXE. Source file updated and rebuild with IBM VAC 3.08 and lxLite. Known 'feature': if a folder is minimized, then KillFolder does not maximize it first. So re-opening this minimized folder, closed by KillFolder, opens it minimized again.

The yellow sticky note widget for XCenter  ZNote would be a good one to add.

Here are some REXX scripts to convert OS/2 INI files to human editable Rexx scripts.  The scripts may help you with your idea.

I made some new ArcaOS icon folders.  Each folder must be individually replaced from the program properties icon pages.

Comments, Suggestions & Questions / Re: SIO2K Ray Gwinn

I will like to get the registered versions of SIO and SIO2K to make it available at hobbes for free.  Like a told before Ray Gwinn authorized to share the registered versions of this software.

I have knowledge of these latest version:
- SIO version 1.60d, released March 17, 1997
- SIO2K version 2.03, released June 6, 2002.

I would like to get the registered versions of those latest releases, but for the moment any registered version is good for me.

For what I know there is no registration key, the registered version was a different compiled version. If someone can confirm I will appreciate it.

The 2.02 version I uploaded is the unregistered version.  On bootup, it tells you it is unregistered.
The 2.03 version link is the shareware unregistered version.  Again  tells on on bootup.

In the docs, it states that a registered version can be downloaded when purchased, so there appears to be no key.

I may have a registered copy of sio160d.  Not sure.  If anything, the trial version may be later than what some users have.  I am not sure if a key is required or his version is mailed working version.

I have uploaded the zip.

Just found a later version 2.  This may be the registered version.  Having never seen this version anywhere except in my archives, I believe this version may be the real McCoy, the registered updated version.   Version two had some major enhancements over 1.6.

At one time, it was reported that Ray was willing to open source his software, but nothing ever materialized.

Here is the old link in the forum.,1820.15.html

I am not sure why the source code and key could not have been uploaded to Hobbes.

Now that I understand how it works, I can say that it works great .

Tested on Dominion and ImageEditor.  I drag from FM/2 to your created Java 6 icon.  No problems so far.

My brother has ArcaOS 5.0.4 (I haven't been able to go there to upgrade it). He is having a problem where a lot of, seemingly random, windows open (programs, folders, files), when he boots. He has "SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY,REBOOTONLY" in CONFIG.SYS.. Checking the startup folders (I hope he did what I asked), shows no sign of any of this stuff.

I saw this, on his system, a few years ago, in eCS, Ar that time, it was all from one folder. There was nothing obvious wrong with the folder. I created a new folder, and moved all of the files into it, then deleted the old folder. That fixed it then, but he can't seem to relate all of this stuff to any individual folder, so I don't know what to fix.

I have used the VOICE HelpDesk thing in the past, but that won't work any more (Telus has blocked everything), so I can't have a look.

Anybody got any ideas?

Doug, why not try the easiest thing first.  Restore an archive of before the problem started and see what happens.
