Title: Toying with the folder concept
Post by: David Graser on December 27, 2017, 03:50:01 am
I had an idea and thought I would see what it looked like.  Instead of a big folder, a small folder icon like the XWP shadow icon is used.  Then an actual icon of the product or information concept icon is used.  I had to modify the icons I used.

The easiest way would be to have a folder icon that appears when a folder is present, just like a XWP shadow.  I am not asking that this be done.  This is just an ideal I am testing.  I have attached a picture of my desktop.

Hi David.

The idea is a thing of personal taste, for me it is interesting. As a personal opinion I think that putting the folder on the top left, and the color, just get too much attention. Maybe I would prefer a more conventional approach and locate the icon at the bottom right of main icon and have a less flaming color. But it will crash with the shadow icon, maybe bottom right... not sure.

But I like the idea to experiment different alternatives and options.
