Title: iCloud access
Post by: Neil Waldhauer on September 07, 2016, 04:00:10 pm
iCloud stopped working for me again. I point the browser to the main iCloud page, and the little wheel spins for a while, then a message box comes up, offering to send the log to Apple.

The web console shows the following message, then it shows an ad to come work for Apple as a developer, and then a lot of other error messages.

Quote
mutating the [[Prototype]] of an object will cause your code to run very slowly; instead create the object with the correct initial [[Prototype]] value using Object.create

iCloud has been working for me since the release of Firefox 38 beta6. Before that it crashed with a different error, and before that it was working on Firefox 31. I imagine that Apple has now made changes that Firefox 38 beta 7 cannot support.

To see the error, point the browser at https://www.icloud.com (https://www.icloud.com). I'm hoping a newer port of Firefox, or else a bug fix will restore access.

I also have problems with the javascript , it's funny but in a yahoo page , with graphics fails me many days(more that 5 days) , and does not fail me graphics a few days .(5 days or less)
The web site:
http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=IBM+Interactive#{%22showArea%22:false,%22lineType%22:%22line%22,%22range%22:%225d%22,%22allowChartStacking%22:true}

This fails since August last updates in os2

Hi Neil.

I confirm I have the same behavior with iCloud ( www.icloud.com ) that you  told.

By any chance is something experiencing some similar with google drive (drive.google.com)? The waiting spin icon just keep going and it do not load the page with your files.

Regards

At least the first page of drive.google.com loads fine, and my files are still there.

iCloud still does not load here.

Hi Neil,

At least the first page of drive.google.com loads fine, and my files are still there.

iCloud still does not load here.

It probably isn't overly helpful, but www.icloud.com loads OK here in Firefox 48 under Ubuntu...

Cheers,

Paul

I changed my Firefox program object from Firefox!K.exe to Firefox!LK.exe, which runs Firefox with LIBPATHSTRICT. iCloud access now works.

I would be interested to know if this works for others... I have tried with both with and without libpathstrict and get the problem you initially had.

I have found that if it gets stuck, then I revert to Firefox 31 to login, and I specify to keep me logged in. Then I go back to Firefox 38, where the apps run better (or run at all) as opposed to Firefox 31.

The login and use of iCloud seems to work in Firefox 45. Apple is changing the logon process for June 15, so I'll report how that goes.

The reason I'm using iCloud in Firefox is that it makes most iPhone/iPad data available on OS/2.

Hi Neil.

If possible please share your picture of ArcaOS 5 and Firefox with the iCloud access. I want to include it on the gallery.
