Applications / VisPro C++
« on: January 29, 2013, 05:11:46 pm »
Hi

I'm trying to get VisPro C++ V3.01 so I can upload it to hobbes. I got Dave Hock permission last year to turn their software freeware (AS IS).

I tried to get it from Mensys. http://shop.mensys.nl/catalogue/mns_VPC.html since they have it for free.
But I can not pass the payment option. It seems that you can not pay US$0 with Paypal :)

Can anybody help me to get it, and/or upload it to hobbes?

Thanks
Martin

Applications / Why Firefox for eCS-OS2 didn't went up from version 10?
« on: January 19, 2013, 11:45:18 pm »
Hi

I have this question since I didn't followed the mozilla OS/2 port forum/newgroups.

What was the technical limitation because the Firefox ports didn't went from version 10 to 11 and follow on?

Programming / somFree - Portable implementation of SOM
« on: January 12, 2013, 05:26:51 pm »
"A portable clean-room implementation of IBM's SOM. Includes DSOM capabilities with CORBA IDL and IIOP."
http://sourceforge.net/projects/somfree/

I'm not sure for how long was this project on SourceForge. But it looks it had been some activity recently (2013-01)

I don't know much about it, but I hope it can also help us to have a open source clone of SOM on our platform. The compiled files are only available for some *nix flavours, but maybe it can help us on the future.

It is an open source project under the LGPL V3 license.

UPDATE: I noticed the project was registered 4 days ago.  And the source code it says is from "Roger Brown's Toolkit"(LGPLv3)

Comments, Suggestions & Questions / OS2World WebLinks - Submit a Link
« on: January 01, 2013, 05:48:12 pm »
Hi

I had re-populated the OS2World Links with some OS/2 site links.
http://www.os2world.com/links

I also had enabled that the registered users can submit some link on this site.
http://www.os2world.com/submit-a-web-link

I will appreciate if you can take a look at the links and submit any missing sites. I will be moderating it, let me know if the "Submit a Web Link" is working.
