Hello Aziz

I don't have experience with that resolutions (I don't have 4K Monitor at hand) and VMWare Workstation Pro. Since "VMWare Workstation Pro" was released free for Personal use this year, it is on my list to try it with ArcaOS.

- Which version of VMWare Workstation Pro are you using? According to some online info since version 17.5.2 Build 23775571 it was optimized for 3840 x 2160
- Which version of OS/2 - ArcaOS are you installing?
- Is there any error message on OS/2 boot? or it is an error message when you try to start the VM?, Or there is no error, it just remains with the old resolution

This year I want to make my Warsptock Presentation about what software releases for our platform had been remarkable this last year (or last two years).

I have some in mind, but I also wanted to ask you what software updates had been remarkable for you on the last two years. Let me know.

About my trip, I think everything will be fine, but I'm still short on money for the hotel nights. Any donation is welcome at the main OS2World page donate button.
Any other suggestion for Warpstock is also welcome.

I think we corresponded in the past a few times over the last couple of decades when you were doing OS/2 News and Rumors

I think that on this case you are confusing Steve Levine, OS/2 software developer, with Steve Wendt, creator of the OS/2 News and Rumors site. But anyways, both Steve had done excellent work within the community.

BTW (sheer curiosity), when did Martin Kiewitz stop coding for OS/2 / eCS / ArcaOS ? Let's thank him for vCompat that proves useful many years after its "final" version.

As far as I know the source code of VCOMPAT is available here:
https://github.com/OS2World/DRV-VDDs-GoSierra/tree/master/VDDs/vCOMPAT

I'm not sure if the open source license is correctly defined. It was released on the same repo than Air-Boot, so it can possible be GNU GPL V3. But I'm not 100% sure about it. I tried to contact Martin so it can be clarified, but I didn't have a reply yet.

Hello Andy

VCOMPAT helped here. (I guess). I installed it on the config.sys without any special thing.

I run WinOS2 Full screen and Lotus installer (install.exe) worked fine. It copied the files and created icons. The installer gave me some errors at the end, but it worked.
I installed it on a JFS partition by the way.

I had change it to: Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus (wi-fi)

If you still have that motherboard arround and want to give more detail of what is working and what is not with ArcaOS 5.1 let me know. Or if you can share the hardware report (pci.exe) will be great too.

FYI: Lewis posted something about this on the Warp mailing list.

In the interim, people may disable the main Netlabs repo and only leave the 2rosenthals.com mirror enabled. We are currently building separate metadata, so after that, 'yum clean all' followed by a fresh pull from the mirror should get a working repository.

Also note that netlabs-exp should be working fine. Only netlabs-rel seems to be impacted.

Thanks for the testing. I always wanted to discuss more about Win-OS/2.

I still don't know if it is only an issue of a big HDD, or the format HPFS vs JFS. Or is it a mix of both?
Do you think a ticket should be open to Arca Noae? Do we have enough information to report some bug/limitation?

Can the 2GBFix issue be related to this ticket too?

Thanks, I didn't noticed that reply.

It seem that Netlabs is having some issues, because the EDM/2 wiki database comes and go too.
Let's hope it can be fixed soon.
