Hi,

I just compile the latest Clipgrab but unfortunately  it wont work with OS2 anymore.
ClipGrab uses youtube-dl in order to download videos from the Internet
And the Os2 python dont work with youtube-dl

So for now its a no go, sorry  :'(

Hi Dave

The checkdll32 routine indicated some of the libs involved needed updating here.

The browser now starts but does not display any webpage text on most of the websites I have tried - ie os2world.com loads as a page without any text or images. Should this browser be able to display os2world.com? - If "Yes" then I suspect I missed another lib that needs updating.

Regards

Pete
Hi Pete,
If you go to f.e youtube.com does that show correct??
As for me i also see on f.e google.com no text  also for os2world.com i see habbits and a bad look.
But on my test comp it's working great and i can load most sites correct.
So far i have no iea how this is possible..

Hi David,
Yes i had this to.
I did some debugging with Silvan about this.
Seems the i18npool.dll is the cullpit

But when you copy the dll's from v65 back to the OO /program dir, the crashes are gone.
Or go back to v0.65

Hi,
The version you downloaded is a bit outdated unfortunately.
The newer version of clipgrab needs webenginewidgets and that we dont have yet.
So  we need to wait till BWW have made it ready for us...

But  donations, are welcome for BWW, so they can further work on QT5 and more OS/2 based projects ....

Hi Dave.

I copied it into it's own directory (C:\PROGRAMS\qtwebtest5_4) which I've then added under PATH (LIBPATH had no success either) in config.sys. I've added added the check.log in case it helps; from what I can see, it's looking for DLLs which are definitely installed and updated from the Netlabs-exp repo where required.

Hi
Did you install Qt5-qtdeclarative-5.13.1-1.oc00.i686
As that provide the QT5Q.dll afaik

Yes, setting it to fast helps. Still seems a bit slow but usable.
Hi Dave,
I installed it on a test computer to, and there its slow to.
Maybe i need to install some updates, as on my main comp i have all the latest exp installed

I have to look, will comeback on this...

Hi Tellie, it's on real hardware here. There's a noticeable delay when choosing cards, whether to trade or to play.
Thanks

Did the Card speed helps for the speed?
Is a option

Hi all,
As I told Martin, i don't see the slowness on my comp.
If new cards are shuffle or when game is over  and new cards are giving it takes a sec to get new. I will look if i can find the culpit why it's slow for you guys.

And is this all with a VM or plain OS2?

Dis you set in settings the card speed ?

Hi Doug,

I set it up like i thought it would work

I see in stunnel.conf

[Soverin_in]
  accept  = localhost:7993
  connect = imap.soverin.net:993
  delay   = yes
;#  protocol = imap

[Soverin_out]
  accept  = localhost:7587
  connect = smtp.soverin.net:587
  delay   = yes
  protocol = smtp

But i see in logfile:
2021-01-21T18:10:31.822 (005)-E-pop_sendrecv_test_result: Error from server - [-ERR Message number out of range.] - [This is the error that resulted from the LIST command]

Maybe you got a idea 8)

Hi Doug,

In PMMail-> Global Settings-> Secure Transfer is it enabled? Is it running? You do need to close the program, and start it again, to get it to run. It must be running to do the setup.

Check your entries (I didn't go through the pictures that were posted). It should all make sense. The local side uses localhost to talk to STunnel, which uses the given ports to talk to the remote host. The server address is used to relate the Account settings to the server settings.

Then, in each account, you need the server address, and logon information. You need to enable "Use Secure Channel (SSL)" so PMMail knows to use localhost rather than then the server address. Then you need the matching port. The ports associate what STunnel does. Looking at the pictures, I would not use port 995 for the local port. Use 110 in both the STunnel setup, and the account receive settings.

If you use STunnel with more than one mail server, you need to modify the local ports so they are not the same as what is used with a different mail server. Otherwise, STunnel can't tell the difference. What I do, is add 6, or 7, in front of the port numbers, and change all applicable settings.

Difficult to explain, but actually quite logical, after you figure it out.
Yes i see a proxy is running "Yes"

I have set local to 110 in global and in Account settings, should i do same for local  port 25

I have just only gmail

I see this in stunnel.conf:
socket = l:TCP_NODELAY=0
socket = r:TCP_NODELAY=0
client = yes
output = C:/PROGRAMS/PMMAIL/BIN/stunnel.log
verify = 0
debug  = 4

[GMAIL - IN_GMAIL]
  accept  = localhost:110
  connect = pop.gmail.com:995
  delay   = yes
;#  protocol = pop3

[GMAIL - OUT_SMTP]
  accept  = localhost: 25
  connect = smtp.gmail.com:587
  delay   = yes
  protocol = smtp

Why is pop3 disabled ??

And see i log this:

Mon, 18 Jan 2021 17:36:51 ==> Connection Failure:  Couldn't connect (err:61 - Connection refused). n tries [2]
Mon, 18 Jan 2021 17:29:44 ==> Error: Server broke connection
