Sorry, another TRAP. The good thing is that I tried it on the 26th, before you created it.

The disk I use is a 8455mb thosiba, MQ01ABD100, 2 1/2 "
But like I told you before, that is not important. As the ones I use are from old computers, they are ready to use in os2, like jfs, plug and play. If not, you will have to prepare it as when you install the system.

What external disk brand/model do you have?
It does not seem to me that it is a problem of the disc, if not of the feeding. As Ivan told you. I use an e-sata cable with a usb booster just to have more amps as booster. The disk is a small one from a normal 2 1/2" laptop not ssd. It is not a large disk 3 1/2" that possibly needs more power and this cable that I am telling you is insufficient.

I have eSATA on my laptop, and it works like any other hard drive. The condition is that you connect the external disk, before turning on the computer, and disconnect it when turning it off.

Could you run this program and send the file that is generated to this forum? It would help to know the hardware you have.

Shortly I think I'll make an update on this,
 you did not believe it.
As I advance some minimum memory levels, and another increase in free use memory.
You will see the super warp speed.
I still have to check the processor failure, but I think it works without problems.

[C:\]MEM /V

Total physical memory:      3 959 MB
Accessible to system:       3 063 MB
Additional (PAE) memory:      896 MB

Resident memory:              170 MB
Available virtual memory:     457 MB                 ***runing nice ****

Available process memory:
  Private low memory:         100 MB
  Private high memory:      1 792 MB
  Shared low memory:            0 MB

Yes, you are correct.
Do you have any way to quickly repeat the error of the processors?

The last statement wins. There's no need for the others.
Thanks,

The only change you've made is to increase both the maximum and the initial value of SWAPPER.DAT by 300 MB. I don't see the benefit by that.
I have not looked at it as a number of megabytes, I have looked at it as a number of compatibility with all programs.
All comments are in this tickect, start reading at the end.

For others, the qt5core fix is linked from https://github.com/bitwiseworks/qtbase-os2/issues/121

That may be an option, but I think it is better to try to learn to understand how memory and swapper work.
I don't know yet, but doing this works very well for me.
You can try this, rename the two lines of the config.sys
1-  rem MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT
and
2-  rem SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 2048 2048

Copy this lines after that:

MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT,COMMIT
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 402048 402048
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 311286 311286
MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 402048 402048
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 311286 311286
MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT,COMMIT
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 402048 402048
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 311286 311286
MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 402048 402048
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 311286 311286

Doing this increases my memory by about 200mb.
Try it, the speed, and lightness is never seen before.
I do not need any patch for the processors for now.

Set the virtualaddresslimit to a value that works for you, and you're done.
I now have 1688, but I still have this under observation.

Neil,
I attach a photo so you can see where the language is. Look at the upper right corner,
 below the buttons in the window.

 Paul,
I attach another photo with a translation of this website, in about 1 second. With this qt5core.dll
Directory of C:\USR\LIB

18/10/19  6:37      4.335.130    342 a---  Qt5Core.dll
I don't know if this is a long or a short time, but this works perfect. I have only detected two failures.
1- With the external usb mouse, in usb3.0 the mouse crashes, and I have to disconnect and reconnect it.
Or connect it to a usb 2.0 port
2-When I closed the program it showed me this error in the command prompt,
QTextCursor::setPosition: Position '811' out of range
The keyboard got stuck, and when closing the command prompt, the keyboard returned to normal.

Thanks for your test.
By testing you can test many things.
I don't know if you have sound through virtualization.
 You can try this:
REM SET KAI_AUTOMODE=DART
SET KAI_AUTOMODE=UNIAUD

DEVINFO=SCR,VGA,C:\OS2\BOOT\VIOTBL.DCP      **Put this line -before- devinfo=KBD,SP,...
 If you want you can change VGA for "SP" or the language of your computer. Like this:
DEVINFO=SCR,"SP",C:\OS2\BOOT\VIOTBL.DCP
DEVINFO=KBD,SP,C:\OS2\KEYBOARD.DCP

And you have to install Pmunimix and run it.

Result of error 8, it is consistent with what you do.

[C:\]HELP SYS0008

SYS0008: There is not enough memory available to process this command.
All available memory is in use.

EXPLANATION: If segment swapping is active, the swap file may be full
or an input/output (I/O) error may have occurred on the auxiliary
storage device that contains the swap file.

ACTION: Do one of the following and then retry the command:
o  Reduce the number of running programs.
o  Reduce the value of the BUFFERS=, TRACEBUF=, DISKCACHE=, THREADS=,
   RMSIZE=, or DEVICE=VDISK.SYS statement in the CONFIG.SYS file and
   then restart the system.
o  Remove unwanted files from the swap file disk and restart the system.
o  Install additional memory on your system.
o  Check the swap file disk for an I/O error.

I have a question, if you run with the swapper active, can you open firefox and Startoffice simultaneously?

Hello Mauro
I would distinguish two problems, one would be not being able to open the linkedin website,
 I cannot open it either. I understand that this is a specific problem with a page with Adobe ...
 The other problem I had was that the processors were going full and the Seamonke 2-42-9EXP3
 collapsed.
 It may be that your system becomes less responsive, but I think it may be because
 I run arcaos on a real-pc, and you on a virtual machine.
 It occurs to me that if you completely remove the swapper it is possible that in a virtualization
 it works better, why put 2048 2048 on it?
 This I have not tried and I do not know the consequences.
saludos
