It seems like a good price for a solar powered laptop. It indicates in the article that one use another operating system than Ubuntu. I checked the photos about an optical drive. It would be interesting to see if eComStation would work on it. At $350, it would not cost a lot to try. I tried their web site but not much information there. Would it be possible to use eCS on it?

It runs with a "Intel Atom D2500 dual-core " processor, so my first guess is that it may run on it. But you never know which other components does it has.
