Title: Config sys editor
Post by: karotlopj on April 25, 2016, 07:01:36 pm
There seem to be quite a few programs available for editing and sorting config.sys.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi

To organize the config.sys file I will like to recommend you the CfgSort script.
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?key=cfgsort

Please save a backup of you config.sys first just in case.

Regards

I never ordered the config.sys , since in some cases the operation could be wrong .
If I advise you to check that you have no duplicate in Set variables, but only if you detect any failure.
The program BS Have a utility for sort in the air the config.sys , see www.wdsibyl.org  BS

Saludos

Try http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/download/pub/os2/util/config/lcss-0-4-8.wpi (http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/download/pub/os2/util/config/lcss-0-4-8.wpi)

It is designed to make CONFIG.SYS human readable, as well as order it correctly. Please READ the instructions, and get the latest update from http://www3.telus.net/public/bissett1/LCSS.dat (http://www3.telus.net/public/bissett1/LCSS.dat).
