Title: New help converting old files from Describe, LotusWord
Post by: juven on June 14, 2016, 06:09:14 pm
Dear friends,

I used OS/2 for many years but was forced to move to Linux and Windows several years ago because continuing with eCS eventually was beyond my technical capabilities.
I occasionally find an old document file that I need to open, but can't because it's in Describe or Lotus Word format, and I don't have access to those programs anymore.
When this happens, I need to get the converted either to open document (.ods) format for use in LibreOffice or OpenOffice, or to MS Word (.doc) format.
Is there anyone here who would be willing occasionally to do that for me - that is, convert a file that I would email to you, and you would then send the converted file back to me.

Many thanks and best regards
John Repass

Describe I can do because we still use it as our main word-processor.  Just PM me if that is of any help.
