Post by: Rick Smith on March 01, 2023, 07:50:10 pm
Greetings,

I am looking for any OS/2 related ansi images. Did you make or have any that you can share?

Regards,

Rick

Hi Rick

Do you mean something like ANSI art related to OS/2?
To be honest, I haven't found anything and was not looking for it either.

Can it be something generated with some online sites?
Like: https://manytools.org/hacker-tools/convert-image-to-ansi-art/go/

(Attached sample)

Or you want old ones from the old days?

Regards

ffmpeg seems to have ansi art decoder
V....D ansi                 ASCII/ANSI art

Just did a test using above sample:
ffmpeg -i OS2-Letters.ans OS2-Letters.GIF  (it works)

I just tested the ans to other format:
Added the *.ans into AVxCAT and converted into mpeg1 os/2

Hi

I also found JavE, a Java program (that runs on OS/2) that can help you create ASCI animations. I just found it arround and remember this thread  ;D

Take a look at:
