Title: Red Secure Boot screen when booting off CD
Post by: Eric Erickson on August 10, 2024, 12:56:10 am
I've just started working with AcraOS V5.1 and an ASUS B550 Gaming Plus (WiFi) board. When I boot off the installation CD I get a red box in the center of screen as shown in the attachment. I'm new to all this secure boot stuff and wonder what its telling me or what I need to actually check/fix?

Two possible fixes. Turn off secure boot in the BIOS is the easiest, though if dual booting Windows, it could be a hassle turning it on and off.
The other option is to add the ArcaOS keys to the bios, something I've yet to do. Roderick has a utility to do it. See https://articles.os2voice.org/category/software/31-secure-boot-for-arcaos.html (https://articles.os2voice.org/category/software/31-secure-boot-for-arcaos.html)

I recently added the secure boot keys to a Dell Optiplex, was pretty straightforward
