Is there a tool to defrag your c: drive running jfs?
-
Yes, DEFRAGFS, it is encouraged not to use it and you would have to find it on an older version of OS/2 as Arca Noae decided not to include it. JFS is pretty good about not fragmenting, it is a file system designed for Unix (AIX, Linux) and makes use of extends.
I can attach a copy if you really want to play with it, I forget why Arca Noae says not to use it. Also remember that SSD's don't need defragging like hard drives do.

Putting it simply, sometimes DEFRAGFS puts the right bits back in the wrong place :)

Ok.. I remember running DEFRAGFS on OS/2 Warp and I think Merlin.
Wasn't sure why it disappeared, or if anything had replaced it.
