Title: What do you use for screen captures?
Post by: Dan Eicher on August 16, 2025, 03:25:23 am
Under Windows, I usually just WINDOWS-Shift-S - cut the section of screen I want and past it in to apps like email or wordpad.

What's my best bet for similar use in OS/2 / AOS?

Simplest is Gotcha!, press PrtSc to see it in action. It lives in Programs-->Installed Software-->Gotcha!.
Personally, I like Embellish, http://hobbesarchive.com/Home/Download?path=/Hobbes/pub/os2/apps/graphics/paint/Embellish_2-02.zip (http://hobbesarchive.com/Home/Download?path=/Hobbes/pub/os2/apps/graphics/paint/Embellish_2-02.zip) which was a commercial program. There's lots of others, http://hobbesarchive.com/?path=%2fpub%2fos2%2fapps%2fgraphics%2fscrncapt (http://hobbesarchive.com/?path=%2fpub%2fos2%2fapps%2fgraphics%2fscrncapt)

I use what comes with Ubuntu as it works fine for OS/2 in Virtualbox, otherwise I used, and occasionally still use PMView.

I use PM View as I have both the OS/2 and Windows version.  Both work great with latest versions.
