FileManager2 and Lucide (PDF Viewer).

On Hobbesarchive: https://hobbesarchive.com/Home/Download?path=/Hobbes/pub/os2/util/browser/fm2-3-25-0.zip for File Manager version 3.25.0
Lucide on Hobbesarchive is an ancient version (1.5.1 beta 1 from june 2020). But Lucide is also included with ArcaOS.

The username is dry and is already passed to the website in the provided URL. You only need to enter an email address for the password.

Applications / Re: SSL update: Firefox XUL.DLL can no longer load
« on: April 19, 2025, 01:18:22 am »
Hallo,

I updated openssl just a few days ago. Now XUL.DLL (part of Firefox) can no longer load as it complains that ssl3.dll is missing which is true.
Is there a newer build of XUL.DLL that uses the updated SSL11.DLL ? Or maybe a newer delivery of Firefox ? I have no AN account.
What I can also find on my system is "ossl3.dll" but not "ssl3.dll". I doubt that I can simply rename the file as the internal DLL name is "ossl3".

Have you updated openssl to version 3.4.1-2? It appears that bitwise changed the name ssl3.dll into ossl3.dll because there is already a file ssl3.dll in nss. See https://github.com/bitwiseworks/openssl-os2/commit/7da95d6b7f72dd34a71281be68b4139b7f470bd6

Web applications / Re: Dooble releases, Qt5 builds
« on: April 13, 2025, 11:22:13 pm »
Other problem.

I've found a site making Dooble close each time!
process used:  (using duckduckgo as default search engine)
entre wuwt  into the link field + enter
duckduckgo opens and first found entry is whattsupwiththat.com
Clic on this first found entry and wuwt start to load....
Wait until end of load.... before the end, Dooble closes

Which version of Dooble are you using? In the upstream version 2025.02.08 Duckduckgo and Google were "removed".

General Discussion / Re: EDM/2 Wiki Issue
« on: April 06, 2025, 06:32:18 pm »
Hello

We are back editing the EDM/2 wiki. I'll keep going on the never ending task of migrating the OS/2 API to the EDM/2 (AI helps me a little bit now with the MediaWiki format). But I had changed my ID, I don't know why I can not log on with my old user ID. If someone used to have a logon access to the EDM/2 wiki, give it a try, modify the "Sandbox" or your own User Profile page to test it out.

Regards

My Netlabs credentials no longer work when I try to login at www.edm2.com :(

Web applications / Re: OS2World URL Redirect

Hello

Neil, today I talked to the webmaster and we have redirected the URLs.
Now if someones goes os2world.com  or www.os2world.com should get to the same site.

Can the same be done with EDM/2? I.e. edm2.com redirecting to www.edm2.com .

Yes libxml2 was the latest level, now reverted to 2.9.10-3 and OpenOffice can "start" a new spreadsheet but saving it results in a crash.
Trying to open an existing spreadsheet also results in a crash, new entries in popuplog:

Which version of libc is installed?

What utility are you using to get real-time temperatures of the processors?

If you are using ArcaOS: type acpistat on a command line. At the end of the screen output it says:

Thermal information:
  Thermal zone 'THRM':   Current: 45 C  Critical: 100 C

The value behind 'Current' is what you are looking for.

Is arcview 2.2 on hobbesarchive, arcanoae or Alexs site?

Arcview 2.25 is available as a Warpin package on both hobbesarchive and Alex's website:

ISTR there was a command-line tool from FaxWorks that could purge broken print configs if the system got into such a state. It might be worth trying that to make sure you're starting clean.

You mean prndrv.exe ? Can be found at Hobbes: http://hobbesarchive.com/Home/Download?path=/Hobbes/pub/os2/util/printer/PrnDrv_2000-01-16.zip

Programming / Re: Qt6 Application Testing
« on: January 01, 2025, 02:02:32 am »
Hi Tom,

I already had 9.2 installed, but you're right... I just needed the 12.2 version which was found on Hobbes. Now some of the examples work - I'll post a result of testing once I get thru all of them...

Regards,

I was referring to the rpm-package (yum update libgcc) - not the compiler itself :).

Looks like your version of gcc1.dll isn't new enough. To be found in libgcc (most recent version: 9.2.0-5)

Now if someone could point me in the direction of installing fix paks?  I can find information on them, but not the fixpaks themselves.  Thanks for everyone's advice on the booting.
