Setup & Installation / Triple OS setup?
« on: October 21, 2018, 05:05:19 am »
Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone has tried the following triple boot setup; ArcaOS, Linux, and Haiku OS?

Any tips or things to watch out for?

Applications / DOS and Win-OS/2 Windowed Sessions
« on: August 25, 2018, 07:02:27 am »
I noticed that I can't seem to launch any DOS or Win-OS/2 windowed sessions. I tried the solution on the ArcaOS website, adding /int10textgrfxsafe to the VSVGA.SYS line in the config and also adding in the couple of lines to the Autoexec file. However, still no luck on my end. I was wondering if anyone else has come across any worthwhile fixes yet.

Setup & Installation / System cannot find the file "RESOURCE.SYS "
« on: August 22, 2018, 06:42:34 am »
Hey guys,

Been trying to install ArcaOS and I seem to just keep running into this message. It boots off the usb stick fine, I can setup my partitions, and install ArcaOS. But upon reboot this is what I see:

Processors Initialized: 1
The system cannot find the file "RESOURCE.SYS".

I think I might have run into this before way way back, but have no idea how I got past that back in my original OS/2 days. Ideally, I'm trying to setup a dual boot between ArcaOS and Linux Mint. Are there any users out there running that particular combo?

Setup & Installation / Just purchased ArcaOS...
« on: August 22, 2018, 02:17:51 am »
I was an OS/2 Warp Connect user from 1995-1999. Wanted to see how its keeping up because of the sale they have on at the moment. One thing I've noticed, on the invoice when you go to click and download associated downloads, most of them just lead to an error. Is that normal? I was able to download the bootable stick image, os/2 kernal, arcaos iso image, and the ibm lan update. But the other files are just coming up with an error. Has anyone else recently purchased ArcaOS?

The error comes up as "Download processing failed: 1. Error code #269" in case anyone wanted to know.
