Reading our local forums I discovered a link to Rust compiler that works without LLVM:

There are some books about the language:

I suppose it's now possible to compile FireFox (at least compile).

What's a trademark?

Technically, trademarks and brands are just words that companies tells to their customers. Like IDs and numbers in a price list, but here lies roots of the problem known as "what is genuine and what is not".

If you will put a margarine in a box with picture of a cream-milk butter and start to sell it, people eventually will hate both you and your fake butter. Sooner or later, they will realize that it is a poison full of omega 6 trans fat (because it is a margarine from cotton oil, and omega 6 TF is a poison), and will start to buy 25%-fat baked milk and 50%-fat butter with a true vengeance (both contains a saturated fat, which keeps temperature of human body close to 36.6 C). They will treat your product as "not genuine" and will never buy it again.

To understand this particular example, you could read a book "Fat for Fuel" by Joseph Mercola. But there are same problems with other goods and services, from chocolate and green tea to clothes and shoes, from ballroom dances and relaxing music to... for example, software.

So... despite you would prefer to keep API compatibility, don't imitate other's trademark (including icons, fonts and colors) because people will feel that "this is not a genuine software".

It's a trademark. Don't touch other's trademark under any circumstances.

Hardware / Re: 122-Key keyboard
« on: September 28, 2018, 03:26:50 pm »
Unicomp, a company in Kentucky, still produces them.

The Nice WPS Enhancer shows that's possible to add functionality of the AMouse driver by an application, without changing the driver. Unfortunately its automatic focus switching to the window below the muse pointer doesn't work with the VirtalBox Addtions drivers.

Yes, it does not work because this program just adds message filter (also known as "input hook") and it works with Presentation Manager only.

If you open a file "MouseMapper_hook.cpp", you will see the function named "MouseMapper_MoveInputFocusWhenScrollingNode()" which switches input focus (the term "node" in this case means "a special part of program"). It just calls "WinSetFocus()".

I dislike the idea of bans and censorship.
I see no violations on the forum at all.

What is a symptome of illness of software industry?
Alongside with discrimination (if he doesn't wrote in language X they will not hire him) the coding monkey should present a masterpiece (showing that he's so experient so he's ready to work for free). I wish him to find a job... but...

So, it's time to come to a conclusion.
There is no cause-and-effect relationship between "killer app" and "sales".

Q: What application will become the MAIN application for ArcaOS? The application which attracts new people and makes them buy ArcaOS. (example: 90-th, for Macintosh it was PageMaker, 2000-th: MSOffice for Windows) Do we have such "locomotive" application or Arca Noae is developing it?
May I haz to understand where is physically existed relationship between "the MAIN locomotive application" and "attracting new people and making them buy".

Guessing the change was made to make future development easier. For AN. Not for the rest of the world. Except David make his changes and his DDK publicly available some day.
