I was playing around with a new os2 bitmap icon. Working with os2 bitmaps is not easy.

The red NL in the icon stands for Netlabs.  This is just a doogle to be used or not used,

But in the end if the developer doesn't want it, that's it.
There are only a few of them and if one of them thinks it's worth the effort and has nothing better to do:-).

Seriously the current repo is at github. There are the last fixes from Steven. As our browsers don't work there I can't see much. But I'm pretty sure issues are still tracked here - https://trac.netlabs.org/4os2.

Oh just saw your ticket. Maybe you've start reading here - http://4os2.netlabs.org/en/site/index.xml

Paul's Qt6 builds of Dooble still work at Github, the Qt5 ones mostly did until recently when the code stopped rendering. There are issues but it is usable by mousing over the odd element that doesn't display.

Hello

I will post these icons in a ticket to see if they gave some interest to the developer.

Unzip to a temporary directory.

Rename your original logo.

Copy the os2logo to you ArcaOS root directory.

Hello David

Just a thought about the Boot logos.

ArcaOS 5.1 with UEFI enabled, now supports two kinds of Boot Logos (as far as I know). It supports 1) the classic .LGO format from OS/2 and 2) (now with UEFI) a high resolution boot logo.

I think it will be good (if possible) to package the two logos inside the zip file when you create a new boot logo.

I just want to be sure what format and size is the right one for the "high resolution boot logo". Is it HD (1920x1080) and PNG ?

Regards

I know nothing about the new logo format, sizes, type of graphic's format, etc, and no way to test.

Hello David, Dave

The AOSLOGO file (PNG 800x600) worked fine here in my UEFI ArcaOS 5.1.

I pushed it a little bit further and resized the file to 1920x1080 with PMView and it also worked on boot.
I don't know if it is a good idea to go with 1920x1080 as default for UEFI PNG boot Logos. What do you think?

Martin, does the logo need the .png on the end of it or does it work without it?  Apparently, system can run various sizes. What are 3 popular sizes?
