1. INF/IPF documentation? |
|
|
I write OS/2-native BBS doors and I'd like to create IPF/INF documentation for them to include with the releases. I downloaded PPWIZARD, but I cannot, for the life of me, find any information on how to set up a template to create an INF file. I did it once before in a galaxy far, far away (read: I forgot how the heck to do it and I'd like to find not only the same, but better information again. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Sean |

| You might want to try "Gfd.Dev - Happy OS/2 Developers Magazines" at http://happyos2.darktech.org/Gfd.Dev.Html This is an extremely comprehensive OS/2 development website with hundreds upon hundreds of OS/2 programs and files. Happy OS/2 is gemstone.

Yes, VyperHelp, I've just downloaded the registration key Another way is the classics: writing the INF file by hand. The IPFC help file is in the IBM toolkit. You will find explanation of all IPF tags there. Running IPFC without parameters will dump the meaning of all command line parameters of IPFC. |

What I like to do is use VyperHelp for the initial draft. Then I go in by hand and do all the advanced modifications. Once I do this, however, I can no longer use Vperhelp since it doesn't support a lot of the advanced options.

| I noticed the Vyperhelp information and I looked at it. I just prefer to write them by hand-I now know how to and I can do it a lot faster (even faster using a preprocessor). Thanks for the info though. |
