Title: ACPI and xf86sup.sys
Post by: Ben on 2008.09.05, 02:24:47
Greetings...

I have an AMD dual core setup with eCS 2.0 rc4 on one partition with ACPI/SMP disabled and on the other partition I have eCS 2.0 rc5 with ACPI/SMP enabled.

The machine that is disabled loads xf86sup.sys fine, the one with ACPI/SMP enabled refuses to load this driver.

Question:

Does anyone know if ACPI/SMP, (latest version available), and xf86sup.sys are compatible?

Thank-you

Just out of curiousity, did XFree86 work in earlier versions of ECS 2.0RC with ACPI turned on? I need XFree86 for my work and without it, it 'll be rather pointless for me to upgrade.

Thanks!

I have no way of knowing this.

I upgraded the ACPI on rc 4, (and gave up trying), up until rc 5 when it worked right out of the box, (I downloaded it upon release).

Then it got even better with the post rc 5 ACPI versions.
