The long. .. .

Hi All

Anyone who installs this uniaud update should (after the required reboot) attempt to play the file \mmos2\desktop\dsk_lckp.wav

Be prepared for problems as it hangs my system requiring a reboot and others on the uniaud mailing list are reporting trap screens and instant reboots.

Seems like the problem could be the updated uniaud16.sys...

If you do find this problem feel free to add a report to http://svn.netlabs.org/uniaud/ticket/163

Regards

Pete

The same trap occurs with RC6 and Paul Smedley's uniaud builds.

Apart from that, RC7 is working very nicely here. HDA support is removed from RC7, so people with that hardware will be using Paul's uniaud builds, I suppose.

Hi Neil

No traps/crashes at all with RC6 with most hardware here - 1 system requires HDA 1.9.2 uniad32.sys in order to work reasonably well but the other HDA builds either work badly or not at all without crashing; 3 other systems using "straight" RC6.

Absolutely no problems playing that dsk_lckp.wav file on any of the RC6 based systems here.

Good to hear that RC7 works for someone - you have tried that dsk_lckp.wav file though, haven't you?
