Hi
Do you remeber that IBM used to have a website with all the OS/2 hardware devices supported? I mean the one that listed the devices (Not the one with the source code of the drivers)
Does anybody got a copy of the web site that can send it over me.
Thanks in Advance.
Hola Martin,
...was that
http://service5.boulder.ibm.com/2bcprod.nsf/WebCat%3FOpenView
, the "device driver pak online"?
Perhaps there is some web archive somewhere? I don't know the URL for this by heart, IIRC there is a site that archives webpages. Not sure though if they maintain deeplinks into IBM...
The only things that I could still find working are:
- ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/os2ddpak_cur/
- ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/os2ddpak_old/
- ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/os2ddpak/ (which is Thinkpad stuff only)
Neither one of the above contains any kind of "list" or html files though.
Not sure if that helps...
Cheers,
Thomas
Hi.
I don't remember which used to be the URL. The "device driver pak online" (I think that was it's name) used to have listed all the hardware devices supported under OS/2 and a link to the drivers. Currently I'm interested if anybody has a copy of the html files (not the drivers files).
Hi,
you can look at the CD that came with Warp 4, but it's not the latest version.

Hi,
okay, I found it is the "wayback machine"... but if you see here
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://service5.boulder.ibm.com/2bcprod.nsf/WebCat%3FOpenView (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://service5.boulder.ibm.com/2bcprod.nsf/WebCat%3FOpenView)
you will notice that they (IBM) disallowed robots from the root onwards to scan thru the pages. Good job, IBM.
Even if it would have been allowed, I doubt that the robots would have been able to dig into subpages.
Sorry. Regards,
Thomas
The full name was "OS/2 Device Driver Pak Online" and the URL used to be:
http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/html/index.htm (http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/html/index.htm)
I don't recall that it used to be a notes database (.nsf)
Martin, I don't know if this will be of any use to you but the Merlin beta came with a device driver CD that has a web interface and lists 34 categories of drivers. If it is any help I can zip up the HTML and send it to you.
