Being able to c. .. .

While you mention Xvid/DivX I wonder if you also have tried to encode material yourself also, I noticed that Paul Smedley released a new version of mencoder (http://www.os2world.com/content/view/676/2/) that supports the encoding of mpeg4. Guess that this util would be a great tool in addition to the others in the article.

Earlier going back a couple of years there was also DivX Player/2 (http://www.os2world.com/content/view/6900/2/l) and Video/2 (http://www.os2world.com/content/view/7046/2/) that supported divx. Are both project totally dear or has it migrated to any other project?

OH, By the way, Audio/Data-CD-Creator is open source software under the GNU GPL license. So any developer can keep enhancing it.

Mr. Limited Knowledge here installed AudioCDCreator 0.56, but I didn't know, among other things, wha driver to select for my DVD drive, which is an IDE NEC 3504.  There was no driver listed for it in the drivers list, nor a generic IDE driver.  Any idea what I should select?

Also, can this, or CDRecord alone, copy such things as an MRI on CD?  I also have plain CD drive (just read) -- can a CD be placed in there and copied to a blank in the DVD drive?  What would I need to do to copy a DVD?

Thanks as always for any help.

Alan
