Title: Need help with XTAPE LOAD command
Post by: abadran on 2010.03.22, 10:00:09
I am using OS/2 on a S/390 mainframe, I use tapes to backup the drives using the XTAPE command line, I need instructions on

how to load the data on the backup tape onto a directory. I have SCANned the tapes and they seem just fine.

These are the variations of the LOAD command that I've used (with no luck) and their error messages:

XTP>LOAD G:\RESTORE\
Total files loaded = 0
Total files skipped = 0
(while reading all the files had (skipped) next to them)

XTP>LOAD G:\RESTORE\*.*
Total files loaded = 0
Total files skipped = 0
XTP105I: LOAD completed; subdirs not processed (/-s)
(again all the files had (skipped) next to them)

XTP>LOAD G:\RESTORE\*.* /S
Total files loaded = 0
Total files skipped = 91
(again all the files had (skipped) next to them)

XTP>LOAD G:\RESTORE\*.* /S /H /Y /L /C /PH
same thing, skipped all the files.

I've got almost no familiarity with it, but I do seem to remember there being documentation in the P390 directory on the OS/2 partition... can you post those docs?
