The one thing that is not mentioned is that it requires a sys tray or it will not load. TIhe server and client programs don't appear to work without it either.

Not to mention it was now removed. :/
Is SysTray instalable on eCS 2.0 eWP bar or does it require a full fledged xWP installation?

Hi all,

I had put it on netlabs to be test by a person, that could download it from there, but after he downloaded it, i forgot to remove it ;(
I have no time for test it, so i ask someone.
I port it and wanted to be sure that it would work before i release this.
So when it's working, i reup it and let you know...

Any news on the development, Tellie?
I really need this software and would like to run/test it even if it is not perfect yet.

Thanks for the feedback...
I'll keep using three keyboards and three mouses for now... (!) :)
Any clues on what is wrong? Do you need any help on these apps?

Hi Tellie - Knut had synergy sorta working as a I recall some time ago - from memory the source he was working on was in the libc repository - did you include his patches?

Yes, the client code in LIBC does work.  There was some work done by Bart on the server but it only allows connection but nothing useful beyond that (and I am not certain if those changes are in the svn or not).

Nice to hear that! I found out the source code at SVN, no binaries.
For the moment, even the client version would help me, as one of the machines is running Windows and can run the server for the time being. :)
Anyone has that already compiled? If not I'll take a look at it this weekend.

I've uploaded the synergy client to Netlabs incoming.
I don't remember which version of GCC I used to build it so a gccxxx dll may be required.

  Thank you very much!
I am already using it right now! :)
This is indeed a very usefull utility for those working with several computers at
the same time. It is really helping me a lot! :)

   Hi Tellie,

QSynergy (the GUI) is working perfectly with SynergyC.exe provided by
abwillis. Just running it here. Even the icon on extended tray is working as
it should. It also starts seamless when I place QSynergy on StartUp folder.

I don't know if it is a problem with SynergyC or with the server on
Windows side, but Synergy seems to have problems sending
CTRL+ALT+DEL command to my eCS machine, hindering it useless
to access CAD to kill hanging applications. I tried do configure a hotkey
like CTRL+A on the Windows server to send a CTRL+ALT+DEL to eCS,
but no luck. Later I will test the behavior on a Windows machine as a
client and see what happens. :)
Anyway, since I have a secondary keyboard and mouse laying down
at my side, this is a "no-problem" situation for me, though. :)

   Caetano
