Hi
Just some questions that may help:-
So your router is setup with dhcp disabled for your internal LAN, is it enabled in the WAN section to get an ip address from your isp? - or is that a fixed ip address as well?
Does the router have DNS address(es) filled in?
Does the computer system know that the router is the Default Gateway? - check tcpconfig notebook, Routing page.
Regards
Pete
wan is dynamic, the router does not have dns in, and the comp doesnt kno thats the gateway but i dont kno how to set it

Hi
Open tcpip configuration notebook, Routing page.
Under Route Type you should have the entry default with the ip address of the router in the Router column and 1 in the Metric Count column. You do not need IP Forwarding checked.
Now switch to the Host Names page, Name Resolution tab and enter your ISP dns address(es). I have my ISP, ntlworld.com, in the Local Domain Name entry and my computer name, dadzone, in the entry above.
Hope that helps
Pete
that worked beautifully thank u
