Title: eCS unable to detect hard disk during the second phase of installation
Post by: tuxbuddy on 2011.06.17, 10:16:43
While installing eCS 2.1 on ESXi 4.0, the first phase of installation goes fine while it doesn't detect the disk during the second phase of installatuon and goes to search for DHCP. Is it expected?

Hi

I've never installed eCS in any Virtual Machine but seem to recall something about a setting that needs to be selected to enable installing in a VM. I think the setting is in the pre-boot menu of the CD.

Regards

I installed 2.0 into ESXi 4.0 without this problem.
