Just noticed the home page for SVista (http://serenityvirtual.com/ (http://serenityvirtual.com/)) is no longer loading as well as the link at Mensys.
This is an Old OS/2 Forum thread, "SVista host status for eCS 2.0" at... http://www.os2world.com/cgi-bin/ultraboard/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=12&TID=927&SID= (http://www.os2world.com/cgi-bin/ultraboard/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=12&TID=927&SID=)
In addition to an SVista OS/2-kernel host or guest status: There is still the Connectix-legacy Virtual PC with OS/2-kernel host status, or a current OS/2-kernel guest status under M$ Virtual PC or Parallels.
One has to wonder: Is a "Win4Lin-wrapper" still a viable option for OS/2 and eComStation?
...as alluded to in a prior SVista Forum posting, and
...where at least in theory, eCS could "piggy-back" on Linux open-source development in areas such as the most recent Java when needed, some multimedia codecs from a "Win4Lin-wrapper-friendly" distro such as a Freespire, etc.
Any virtualization thoughts from the OS/2-eCS community?
