Title: virtual pc for os/2 or serenity virtual station?
Post by: os2monkey on 2007.09.11, 00:45:35
Does anyone have a copy of virtual pc for os/2 (the version that runs inside os/2) or serenity virtual station that they are willing to sell to me, or know where I can get one?

I'm interested in switching to ECS as my primary desktop but also need to emulate windows for a few critical apps.
It's unfortunate svista is currently not being sold as it might keep me from switching to ecomstation if I can't find an emulator.

Thanks!

Either contact Serenity, (for sVista) or search Google for vpc51os2 and all related updates and add-ons...

Thank you RobertM for the tip on vpc51os2. :)

Regarding Svista though, serenity has not responded to me - but a few resellers have and apparently it's no longer being sold and they are working on some new emulator product.

Keep an eye out for VirtualBox 1.5 - see this thread  :)

Looks promising - and Paul puts lots of hard work into the projects he jumps on to make them quite usable!

I don't know if you've found what you're looking for, but you've got a PM.

I know, better late than never.

I've succeed to install OS/2 Warp 3 on Virtual PC + Windows 2008 Server, there're some tricky thing need to take care, I still work for collecting all of those issues.

1. C Drive should less than 2G
2. D/E/F should less than 6G

Really, can you provide details...Psoidon, it truly must have been an adventure and I am sorry to hear the combined size of drives addressed other than the primary active drive is so small, as you pointed out so succintly -==- do you have USB working now? Why TWinDoze Server 08, why not IBM http server with websphere for e-biz? or are you just using it as an app server? http://shop.serenityvirtual.com/cgi-bin/db2www/svs_art2.d2w/report?catname=SVISTA here is a link where you can get the retail version; there is a d.l. for this 04 version too but I could never get it to work...isnt there a better way to go for OS/2 and TwindoZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz_Virtualization?
