Title: Broadcom and eCS?
Post by: BigWarpGuy on 2007.10.02, 16:39:33
The wifi card in the bottom compartment of the T23 is (following information take from it) Broadcom BCM43006KFB HA0520 P30 744867 M (from bottom) 802.11g mini-PCI Card model #188621264 MAC: 0014A532F137 S/N: CNSZY53202MX BRCM Rev 6 4306Co 2050. I was using the IBM prism driver with it. Should I be using another driver? Could this be the reason it is not registering the IRQ and other setting?  ???

ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/genmac/genmac200_broadcom.zip (http://ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/genmac/genmac200_broadcom.zip) I found this at Netlabs ftp site. I will give it a try.  ;D     8)

I found four Broadcom drivers. Which one is best for my Broadcom card (not pc card but the card that fits into the wifi card compartment of the T23)?  ???

I just did and it does not list Broadcom. The site is a little out dated.  :(  I checked the Netlabs site for Broadcom. They have a zip file for Genmac Broadcom.

Oops... sorry, should have clarified... check the IBM High Rate Wireless section... I believe I downloaded a Thinkpad T23 wireless driver a while back... the problem I had was that my Thinkpad didnt come with that option pre-installed (and after going crazy trying to get it working, I finally decided to take off the wireless cover and realized that perhaps... just perhaps... the fact that there wasnt a wireless card... might be my problem). Thus, I have no idea if the driver works or not... nor am I sure which one it was I tried... I think it was the GenMac or one of the Prism ones...

Sorry I cant be of any further help...
