It may be of some interest....
As I don't like too much notebook touch pad, I tested the Samsung Ultra slim usb mouse 8.0
Ultra slim, ultra light, optical mouse 5 buttons, 1 wheel, led illumination
Very useful for notebook users, I found it very comfortable
Here some picture and further news http://aving.net/usa/news/default.asp?mode=read&c_num=47494&C_Code=02&mn_name=news
Tested on EComStation release 2.0, beta 3 with mouse and usb mouse standard drivers
All its 5 buttons work fine, scrolling speed may be changed to fast or slow as you need

ps. On the same notebook, tested with Amouse latest driver, shortly. It looks not good:
The mouse is not recognized (not a surprise, obviously)
It points out an empty battery (there is not a battery!)
Changing scrolling speed does not works
Previous and next mouse buttons in Firefox doesn't work
It may be some further controls will obtain better results.
hmm looks like a iPod or a cellular phone :-) But, I like the idea of thinking out of the box when creating new design; question is how workable this one is.
