Title: What patches/fixes to get for a new install?
Post by: RodolphoZatanas on 2007.10.16, 02:00:49
Hi,

I'm installing Warp 4 on an older computer and I'm looking for information on which patches I should install, and where to get them (my install disc is from about the time Warp 4 was released). Also, information about the fundamental "enchancements" that may have been developed in the decade or so that has passed since I last used OS/2. (I've seen some pretty interesting screenshots out there.) Thanks in advance, sorry if there's a FAQ or something on this site that I was just too dumb to find.

There is http://hobbes.nmsu.edu (http://hobbes.nmsu.edu) and http://www.bmtmicro.com (http://www.bmtmicro.com) for downloading or purchasing patches/fixes.  8)

Are the fixpacks cumulative? I.e. do I just need to install the latest one (15, I think)?

Yes they are cumulative, you only need the latest one.

Note that fixpacks are separately distributed for various components.  The base OS has a fixpack, the TCPIP component has one, Lan services has one, etc.
