eCS 2.1 runs fine, but I'm trying to also get Warp 4 to run. It's an Intel 945C based single board computer in a passive backplane with 1 GB RAM and a 500 GB disk. Stops before loading basedevs with
c0000005
DOSCALL1.DLL 0002:0000a455
(more registers)
cs:eip=005b:1c02a455
I've tried lastest 16-bit OS2DASD (also DaniDASD), kernel 104a, latest DaniS506, DaniATAPI, but I think it's trapping even before it gets there. I'm wondering if I have some file with hardware information from the old Warp 4 computer that I took the Warp 4 image from.
MCP 2r refuses to install.
Hi Blonde Guy
eCS2.1 loads and runs but Warp4 stops booting instantly with a doscall1 error...
I think I would try later kernel and doscall1.dll files - possibly from eCS2.1.
Regards
Pete
I had the same problem. V1.2MR worked, so, its something that changed before that.

I tried the kernel files without success, but where do you get matching w4 doscall1 files?
Hi Blonde Guy
I seem to recall doscall1.dll usually got updated when installing a fixpack.
What level is your W4?

I'm at FP15. I tried kernel 104a W4, too, but I didn't change DOSCALL1.DLL.
Hi Blonde Guy
Maybe you need a build from MCP1 or 2 - or eCS1.0/1.1/1.2
Regards
Pete

The kernel version is probably not an issue. eCS 1.2's
default kernel worked fine for me - as did it's DOSCALL1
ACP2 refused to install for me as well.
Side note, for similar issues, it seems various people are recommending ensuring one is using the newest version of PMMERGE.DLL alongside the newer/newest kernels and newest DOSCALL1.DLL
Some also suggest some versions of DOSCALL1 will not work properly (error you've seen and others) with certain kernel updates, due to related code in OS2KERNL that needs to be at the same level.
I do know kernel 14.104 seems to work fine with the DOSCALL1 version that came with eCS v1.2MR and that board (updated the kernel later - didnt get around to fixpacks till a while after that).
