Title: Stability of flash 11 vs flash 7?
Post by: os2monkey on 2012.03.04, 13:44:34
I'm debating if I should use the older flash 7 or the newer flash 11.
Has anyone used the newer one, and have experience on how unstable it is?

I'm ok with occasional brower crashes - but the readme includes that it can sometimes halt your whole system.
Is flash 7 much more stable?

Thanks for the info :).

My impression is that the latest beta version is notably more stable than earlier versions, however it's still unusable on several sites (just like the previous versions).

Hi David

I've only been using Flash11 for about a week and agree with Melfs comments.

While I have had Flash11 crash the browser a couple of times it has not taken out the system - so far.

I think you should give Flash11 a try - more chance of watching video using Flash11 than Flash7 (even when pretending to be Flash9) as websites do check for recent/current Flash version installed.

As Flash11 uses Warpin for installation it is fairly easy to uninstall if necessary.

Regards

Pete

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to give flash 11 a try :). Sounds like it's pretty stable.
