Title: Possible new icon folder schemes, need options
Post by: DavidG on 2007.11.06, 06:15:58
I like the basic design of the basicfolder theme that I created.  I am thinking about creating one or two more based on this design, but different folders.  I have uploaded my possibilities.  I want opinions of the two colors people would like to see.

Or if the design sucks, tell me so that I don't waste my time doing creating the hundreds of icons.

blue and white seems nice nice to me.
Togheter with the right background that suite them they'll be great... e.g. the white theme look interseting, just don't let it turn into monochrome-style.

I may have the white and brown done by tomorrow.  Then I will do the blue, but will take my time doing it.  The white will not be monochrome.  It contains all the little descriptive icons that that "basicfold" did.

I just uploaded the

basic folder white 1.0.0

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/bf_white1-0-0.zip

basic folder brown 1.0.0

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/bf_brown1-0-0.zip

basic folder 1.0.1

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/basicfolder1-0-1.zip

to Hobbes.

Basic folder 1.01 replaces 1.0.0 and rev1.  To install this,  you need to use Warpin to uninstall the earlier versions of Basic folder.  I changed the install routine based on some information I received from Alex Taylor.  If you don't, you will have the icon theme installed twice. I changed the name of the install directory.

The basic folder blue is around halfway finished.  Probably by tomorrow.

I am in the process of doing one more color based on the basefolder design.  It will be a wine color as seen in the picture I uploaded.

Playing around with this as a possible folder scheme.  Is it worth trying?

I just tested the package I uploaded and did not have a problem.  I deleted and uploaded again, downloaded it, and installed without a problem.

I would check for additional wic.exe and/or wpirtl.dll files on your eCS partitiion.
