Title: Where is OpenWatCOm wde.exe for OS/C - eCS?
Post by: fvanzeveren on 2012.05.14, 11:02:39
Hi all

I noted that the Watcom Dialog Editor (wde.exe) seems to be missing on the OS/2 - eCS platform...

Is there another GUI editor available that could be used with OpenWatcom?

Regards

François

Use the dialog editor from the toolkit (dlgedit.exe). The open project cannot contain "closed" code. You will also find out, that you haven't got basic help files (CP, PM, etc.), raster font editor and ipfc. They are also in the toolkit.

Install the toolkit at any rate.

Hello

Thanks... but sorry for this dumb question... Which toolkit are you talking about? Where can I get it...

As you might have noticed, I am brand new in the OS2 - eCS world.

As a hobbyist for old and/or alternative systems, I just bought eCS 2.1 this WE...

Thanks a lot.

Hi

You can find the toolkit in [eCS2.1 CD#2]:\TOOLKIT\OS2TK45

Cheers

I have started to read "Introduction to OS/2 Warp Programming" by Les Bell and Associates Pty Ltd.

Hope this will allow me to be up & running in a few weeks with programming OS/2 and eCS
