Title: One Instead Of Three?
Post by: BigWarpGuy on 2012.06.25, 00:55:29
The eCS install comes on 3 Cd's. Since there are DVDs, is it possible to have it all on one DVD?  ??? I have an USB DVD drive for my Acer Aspire One netbook computer. Win 7 starter is too limited.

(this could be a mute point of eComStation already comes on one DVD but my registration at eCS seems to be no longer active).

Fresh idea: provide software and software updates via Internet.
IMHO, CD2 and CD3 are unnecessary.

On the other side, it's necessary combine all languages to one Installation DVD disk.

Default: English, all other languages may be distributed as LIP packs.

CD #1 is really all that most people need to install eCS. CD #2 contains some stuff that is useful for some people, but not for the average user. CD #3, of course, contains OpenOffice (currently v 3.2). If you use the ISOFS driver, you really don't need to make actual disks out of CD #2 or #3. Just mount the ISO files, and use them that way.
