It just so happened that I started in alphabetical order so blue was the first one I have done.
Check it for for mistakes. This version contains a lot of changes and additions since version 1.2.
Check out the new unimaint, fm2, filestar, and cdwriter folder icons, especially the unimaint folder icons. I believe these are a major improvement.
Depending on feedback, I will wait a short while before proceeding to the other themes. Lilla will probably be next with the yellow last since it is going to require the most work. After that more new darkglass themes.
David
Dude, these are NUTS. They look absolutely beautiful. I am using the blue-glass right now. Are there icons for Firefox and Thunderbird planned? Very, very nice :D
Thanks. A lot of work went into it. I have just updated the lilla theme to v 1.3 and have uploaded to Netlabs incoming.
Enjoy,
David
Would a gray/black scheme be out of the question? To match the frames of eCS?
I plan on doing a grey folder for closed and black for opened when I get time. I still have to get the yellow and green themes updated.. Like I said, now that I have the ini file pretty much the way I want it, I should be cranking out themes in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for all the work, David.
You have, almost single-handedly, remade the face of OS/2. That can only be a good thing. 8)
I've recently installed WPSWizard to have a look at your latest work; very good ideed.
The installation goes smoothly and a minor reset of the desktop and away you go!
I wasn't able to change the individual icons though, via drag 'n drop. I guess this as WPSWizard PNG icons is a work in progress, this feature hasn't been added yet. Oh well.
What method does your install routine use to get the icons to change?
Thanks.
Hi Ben
To begin, I have just uploaded the dark-glass green version 1.3 to netlabs incoming. As I type this, dark-glass yellow is being uploaded to Netlabs. I made one major change to the yellow theme. I change the color of the opened folder from orange to grey. It stood out more than the orange.
The ini file for each theme has to be modified to point to new icon locations. You have to know the object ID, whether you want the keyname to contain a single Image, or an Image with OverlayImages. You can change icons in the theme by pointing to the folder with the png file in the its keyname date box. Use an ini editor to look at the themes ini file. Then look in the directory to see where it is and the other icons in that directory. You can modified each theme to your liking. I must admit that I am new to using an ini editor, but am catching own.
David
These PNG icons look best if run from 150% or higher at the higher screen resolutions. Make sure your screen is set to 16M.

I uploading dark-glas skyblue version 1.0 theme to Netlabs incoming.
David
Dark-glass grey has been uploaded to Netlabs Incoming. I did not use the black for the open folder. I did not think it looked good. Thus, I made a folder that is a darker grey but not black that is used for the opened folders.
David
Gonna try very soon :D
Dark-Glass themes Lime and Red have been uploaded to Netlabs incoming also.

I have done a black theme based on an itheme I did. However, these are PNG's, so should look better. Probably one of the big differences between the WPS Wizard icon theme and the itheme icon theme is the the folders face in different directions. Deciding to do the folders this way has enabled me to speed up the conversion tremendously.
Enjoy

Dark-glass flatyellow theme has just been uploaded to Netlabs incoming. All the other themes have been moved to
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/wps-wizard/theme/

Dark-glass flat aqua icon theme uploaded to Netlabs incoming.

Lastly, I have created a dark glass flat white icon theme which I have uploaded to Netlabs incoming. Pictures have been uploaded to the site showing the three new themes.

Greetings,
Just out of curiosity, David, do you fall back to previous desktops, (via Archive, Unimaint, or otherwise), very often?
Or are you testing all this from a fresh install?
Hi Ben
Here is what I did. I installed eCS RC4 and then installed all the drivers and programs I normally use.
I then made an archive.
I then installed WPWizard. After testing for a few hours, if all looked good, I made another archive. Now I can restore to either before WPWizard was not installed or restore to a point where I know it was operating good. If I restore the later and all is not right, I reinstall WPWizard.
One thing that happened to me was some of the WPWizrd files got corrupted which caused system problems. I believe this happened due to some of the crashes I experienced testing FM/2 prior to releases. I just reinstalled it and all was back to normal.
If I start experiencing problems, I normally just restore to a point when I know WPS Wizard was operating OK.
Normally, I just install a new theme with the set-icon-theme.cmd and that is it. Check for mistakes, correct, and run the cmd again. I have started looking at doing another type theme. As a test, I just replaced the dark glass icons with its own icons. Because the icons are not all named the same thing and all could not be found. Something wierld happened and the icons when from 150% in size to around 20x20 icons for no apparent reason. I could not get if off this size. Thus, I restored to an archive when WPS Wizard was running good and I was back in businesss.
I know what theme I would like to do. However, its icons only come in 156x156 png's which means I would have to convert all its icons to 64x64 first before I can even begin to do this theme. A lot of work before I even start on the ini file. I use Photoshop Elements 3 for the conversions and it does have a mass conversion. However, when I use this feature, it flattens each png graphic resulting in the transparent backgound of the icon being changed to white. Thus, to do this theme, I must be willing to take a tremendous amount of time to convert the hundreds of icons individually.
So I am undecided what I want to do at this point.
David
Here is one possible theme I am looking at. Someone in one of the newsgroups said I should be more mindful of people who use ecenter since the darkglass icons don't show up well at all on it. From what I can see, most png's shrunk to 20x20 or 16x16 don't look good at this size at all. Here is one new theme from the ACE theme package I am contenplating doing. Is this worth doing?
I think its very clean, and looks pretty grat. The eCenter icons are mostly distinguishable, but still may be a little tough.
David,
Thanks for the full reply.
I wondering what, if any, other Desktop enhancers you use, like Object Desktop, NPSWPS, NICE, CandyBar, etc. I'm wondering what combinations you've had success with and what ones have been disasterous and, if relevant, what order you've installed them.
Come to think of it, this would make a GREAT article for V.O.I.C.E. for someone to write.

Hi Ben
I have used theme all at one time or another.
I normally use XWP instead of the eWPS. Howeve, the present XWP has a bug in it that does not allow ACPI systems to shut down correctly. This has been fixed in the yet to be released version of XWP. eCS 2 RC4 has the fix. Thus I am awaiting for this next version of XWP to be released so I can install XWP again.
I don't use Candybar because I created over a hundered themes for the Windows theme manager which I have uploaded to Hobbes just a few weeks ago in Warpin scripts. Easy to install and uninstall.
I like Candyfolder, however, hae found it has problems at high resolutions that I run at. It either doesn't work or it crashes my system. Stay at 1024x768 or lower and it works great. This is one program I miss.
I had Object Desktop at one time, but gave it to someone that wanted it since it did not appeal to me.
I like NPSWPS, but don't use it due to the overlapping features with other programs. I dearly miss the animated windows, drawing on the screen, and window shadows. What I find amazing is that no one has been able to duplicate these features in over 15 years. These 3 features along I would clearly pay for if somone ever developed a replacement.
So what do I use?
eStyler lite
XWP when the next version is released.
WPS Wizard 6.0
Dragtext 3.9.
